Charlet : 171 years of history
March, 2025

1854
That year, Eugenio Frojo joined the watchmaker and jeweler CHARLET in Marseille as workshop manager and was far from imagining that he was laying the first stones of a family saga that would span the centuries.
1904
Fifty years later, his son bought the jewelry store. It bore both names for a time, before permanently abandoning the Charlet name in favor of FROJO.
For five generations, the family business has housed original creations, beautiful jewelry sets, and the most prestigious watches.
2013
It is therefore symbolically as a nod to the history of the house that Edouard Frojo decided to bring the name Charlet up to date, drawing on his experience as an entrepreneur and his family archives.
JANUARY 2017
Since then, the spirit of Charlet jewelry has been embodied by Valérie Frojo. Who better than she could carry the aura of this brand, born from her husband's entrepreneurial spirit and drawn from the heart of family history.
It's the story of a partner and a mother who was not predisposed to this vocation. But a pronounced taste for beauty, and a love for jewelry that lives in every member of the family, laid the foundations for her destiny.
DECEMBER 2017
Our first boutique opens in the historic center of Marseille. As the brand's birthplace and the city close to our designer's heart, the choice to locate there was obvious. A small space with an Art Deco feel that we wanted to be intimate.
Thanks to you, this boutique, which was supposed to be temporary during the Christmas holidays, has finally been opened.
2018
The brand is expanding internationally and launching its online shop. Belgium, Lebanon, Portugal, Canada, Switzerland... an international reach that also brings new ways of working to the Charlet team.
2019
The manufacturing workshop is growing and doubling its production capacity, always in a family and “Made in France” spirit.
2023
Charlet celebrated its 10th anniversary there ! For this occasion, our designer designed 10 numbered pieces that were sold exclusively in the boutique and on our online shop.
In August of the same year, Charlet opened a new store, but still at the same address. Valérie Frojo decorated it, adding her personality and incorporating certain luxury fashion house codes.
